ASAIBORI BEACH

The white long stretch of sand beach is called pantai asaibori(Asaibori Beach), it offers nice place to do swimming and snorkeling.People in west Numfor or east Numfor always visit this beach for their spare time. On Sunday, local people just come here to meet each other, barbeque, and swimming.

 It is take about 20 menutes from Yenburwo Village.From this beach you can see local people fishing.In the past time there is old air port from second world war.To reach this beach you can go by motor bike or mini bus. Every year people out side of Numfor island like Papua and West Papua province to recreation with their family in this beach.

Numfor Island Tour

Day 01. Jakarta-Makasar –Manokwari arrival
Breakfast at the Hotel with daily flight by Garuda or Sriwijaya air to carry you to Manokwari about two or half hour from RENDANI AIRPORT. After lunch with car go around Manokwari for city tour and visit Mansinam island.In the afternoon back to Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 02.Manokwari to Numfor Island
After breakfast early in the morning you can take flight by Susi Air to Numfor island. Arrive in Numfor you can take public transport from YENBURWO Airport to WARIDO village in west Numfor, it takes about 30 menutes and than spend night in Warido village.Lunch/dinner will be served at Warido village by our cook service. If you have enough time in the first day you will sight seeing around the village of Warido,Amberimasi, Baruki or etc.


Day 03.Numfor Island overland Tour
After breakfast the car to drive you to see around Numfor island in a day. Lunch box will prepared in the afternoon. After that back to Warido village for overnight stay. Dinner will be served by our cook service in Warido village.
Day 04. Numfor- Manem island Tour
After breakfast go to Manem island by boat to Manem island for swimming or snorkeling. Lunch will be served by our cook service in Manem island.After enjoy the beautiful of Manem island marine life in aday back to Warido village for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 05.Numfor birdwatching tour
After breakfast sight seeing around Warido and Amberimasi village for birdwatching. After that take a rest in NUMBER village in Resting floating House for lunch.While enjoy baked fish prepared by local people. After that back to Warido village for overnight stay. Dinner will be served at our cook service. At night enjoy Traditional music with local people.
Day 06.Numfor island Departure
Early in the morning after breakfast go to YENBURWO AIRPORT for your flight to next destination by susi air to Manokwari. Ends of service.

A brief of Numfor island

Numfor is charming island because is located between Biak and Manokwari and it is also tropical island located in cenderawasih bay(formerly know as Geelvink Baai during the Dutch time until 1962) It is part of Schouten islands that consist of Biak, Supiori, Numfor and other smaller island that are important tourist destination to do birdwatching in New Guinea or Papua. Historically, Numfor island was the battle ground between the Japanese and the US forces during World War II. The Japanesse forces occupied the island from the Dutch until 1944 when the American troops bombarded and landed on the island in 1944.Numfor island played a very important role for the US troops when they were trying to defeat the Japanese forces in Sausapor and Morotai islands before they continued their campaign to the Philipines.

Numfor surrounded by beautiful coral reef.Manem is very beautiful island white sandy beach with clean water has pristine coral reef environment and it is take about one hours to arrive there by boat. People who live and stay in this island work as a gardener and other as a fisherman. For daily communication local people speak Biak and Numfor language and also they speak Indonesia languages.Numfor People predominantly is Protestant and others is Moslem from outside tribes who come to stay in Numfor .
Now Numfor island is devided into 5 district Namely: 1.District West Numfor 2.East Numfor 3.Poiru 4.Bruyadori and 5.Orkeri.Here is the name of some village in 5 district Around Numfor island as follow:1.Distrik west Numfor consist of some village namely KAMERI, POMDORI,KANSAI,WARIDO, AMBERIMASI,BARUKI,YENSEMAYEN, SERBIN, NAMBER and SUPMANGGUNGSI.2.Districk of east Numfor consist of some village namely:YENMANU, PYEFURI,KORNASOREN,YENBURWO, ANDEI, WONGGOR BABO,and ASARYENDI.3.District poiru is consist of : SYORIBO,SAURIBRU, MANGGARI,BAWEI, INASI, and SANDAU.4.District Bruyadori is consist of village name is DUAI,INASI,MANDORI, DAFI and AMBERPAREM. 5.District Orkeri is also consist of YENBEBA,YENBEPON, SARIBI,SUPMANDER,RAWAR and WARSA,PAKREKI, WANSRA and MANWOR INDAH with total population is 5000 people.

The central telecommunication or TELKOMSELL satelIte already done to commucate to other place,Bank,Post office,Airport and shopping center is located in Yenburwo village distrik of East Numfor.Senior and hight school in Kameri village .The road is good to go by car,cycling and motor bike to go around Numfor island.Numfor Island Now is Progress because the Government of Biak Numfor suppor local people with develop their new house with sponsor by RESPEK and PNPN MANDIRI by the Goverment of Papua Province.

Flora and Fauna in Numfor island is also the some with other regent in Papua.You can see Cockatoos,…………………………………………………………… There are various kindof trees such as ,pohon kayu besi, matoa that grows all over the area of Numfor

Numfor Island

Between Manokwari and Biak island, there is a beautiful and unspoiled island. The name of the island is Numfor. Some tourists have visited this tropical and hospitable island yet, it is surrounded by the beautiful coral and tropical waters. The local people of the island  obtain their income mainly from fishery and the growth of coconuts. In the inland of Numfor mainly exists of pristine forest where you can hike and search for variously kinds of birds, reptiles, and marsupial cuscus. The rare Numfor paradise kingfishers can be found here. A trip to extended mangrove forest is also recommended. A trip to Numfor is including transport, meals, and overnight stay in Warido village. Transportation
By ferry
There is a ferry leaving for Numfor once a week from Marampa harbor in Sowi beach of Manokwari. The schedule to leave from Manokwari are Tuesday morning and it will arrive in Numfor in the evening

By plane
From Numfor back to Manokwari, the ferry leaves o  Tuesday evening and will be arriving in Manokwari at 12 midnigt.
You can also take flight by Susi Air whose schedule is twice a week.

The things to bring
Food and drinks,mosquitonet, sheets, flashlight, candles,swimming/snorkeling equipment, binocular, towel,raincoat, toilet paper,your first aid kit and if you like you can bring extra drinks or snacks for the time you will stay in Numfor island.

 It white sandy beach and clean water, on Sunday people from east Numfor recreation in this beach together with their family.

AMBERIMASI AND NUMPURI ISLAND
 Amberimasi beach sea view and Numpuri island offer nice place to swimming.in here you can see Baruki village with local people their activities.Early morning you can see Arfak Mountains.

YENMOS BEACH
This beach is very nice for snorkeling coral reef and see variously kinds of fishes.from this beach you see Manem island and enjoy the seaview.

NAMBER RIVER AND RUMBOI BEACH
Number river is good place in for swimming and rowing the paddle while enjoy beautiful panorama. Number is also big village and from this village to reach Manem island is easy by boat because only 15 menutes.Local people is work as gardening and others is fisherman.From this village you see Kasyom lake with blue water.You can also visit Rumboi beach for snorkeling if you have more time.

Numfor Barat birdwatching
Numfor Barat (West Numfor) is also good spot for and interesting place for birdwatching, you can walk in the road early morning to explore the area and it is easy to see variously kinds of bird and their singing.Numfor barat is very potensial spot for tourist for birdwatching. Bruyadori Bay tour It is offer beautiful view of Manggrove forest.Local people also catch fish and craps for daily life.You can also see Sandau village with local people their way of life.Inasi ,Dafi, Bawei and Manggari is also good village to visit if you have more time. 

Snorkeling in Manem lsland

Manem is a small island in the east of Numfor.Pristine coral reef can be found around its waters.This is a good snorkeling site for tourists.Various species of fish such as parrotfish, wrasse, butterflyfish, grouper live there. white sandy beach stretches along its coastal area.

Manem island is good for swimming,snorkeling and birtwatching

To reach Manem Island, we need to go by a motorized boat from Warido Village.It takes around 45 minutes.
